Our lavender tincture/extract is derived from the dried buds of our organically grown french lavender. We use an 80 proof grain alcohol to extract the essential oils from the dried buds resulting in concentrated extract with many different medicinal and culinary uses.

Lavender is known as a nervine, an herb that affects the nervous system in a calming and relaxing way. It is considered a mild sedative for nervousness, nervous exhaustion and insomnia and and also as an uplifting plant for depression. It is also known to be useful for headaches and as a digestive remedy.
Use as tincture:
Sublingual - Place a dropper full (adjust dose to desired effect) of tincture under the tongue a leave it there for 30-60 sec. Swallow the remaining liquid and rinse mouth with water if desired.
Added to food or beverage - add desired amount of tincture to yogurt, water, tea, coffee or other food or beverage of you choosing. This method will take longer for the body to absorb that sublingually.
Use as extract: Use as you would a vanilla extract to add a subtle floral flavor to your favorite recipes.
